In 1996, new neighbors - R2NoTooth and CB30 - moved in next door and promptly installed a 30 foot tall shortwave radio tower atop their house. Every night CB30 would getting increasingly drunk and either argue with R2NoTooth or broadcast on his shortwave radio, or both. The shortwave radio unfortunately also broadcast through every electronic device in about a 5 blocks radius. Toasters, televisions, stereos, amplifiers and recording equipment became a conduit for CB30's communications. Also, only the outgoing messages would come through, creating a Dada-esque living experience. Some neighbors were less than tolerant of these two rascals and someone threw a rock threw their front window. Twice.

This is a small sampling for the one way communications we lived with everyday for 4 months.
